The Baronet is a free chess program for Microsoft Windows. It has been developped and tested on Win 98, but should work fine with more recent versions of Windows.

The Baronet is at present a very beatable opponent ! However, I have tried to create a program which is enjoyable to play and it can certainly challenge any average player (like the author).

If you happen to be a computer chess enthusiast, please note that the current version of The Baronet is a standalone program, with its own GUI, and will not yet interface with Winboard.
